PPB Snapper just starting to go
Port Phillip bay is just starting to experience some increased activity on the snapper front. A few more weeks and the conditions should be just about perfect, even though there are fish caught at the moment. The main areas seem to be from St Kilda down through to Carrum, with most fish caught around structure and not on the mud.

Customer Petros fished out from Black Rock over the weekend and landed a couple of nice fish from 10m of water. Petros was fishing just off the reef edge and found that the fish went right on the tide change, and took baits of squid.
Brett from Reedy’s Rigz fished out in Port Phillip earlier during the week and managed a couple of school size snapper with the kids. Brett has been using his 187 patterned hooks and mixing up bait offerings to see what the fish are after. Changing hook sizes to suit the bait varieties has been key also.
