South Coast marlin

There has been some great marlin fishing up along the South Coast of NSW at present. The past month or so has been great, but the last fortnight or so has been exceptional. Many anglers have been concentrating their fishing from Eden through to Bateman’s Bay.

Customers Mark and Cip ventured up to Bermagui for their first stint on the marlin. The boys were rapt with results and had a blast catching fish to about 100kg mark. These fish were mostly caught on skip baits and seemed to be spread out from the bait hole to around the kink, in the 12 mile line.

Customer Andrew fished on the marlin with mate and budding young angler Elliot recently. The guys fished out from Bermagui. Elliot hooked the fish on a bait and managed to land it on 37kg spin gear. The fished weighed 119kg and was his first marlin.
