Although the weather at the moment has had similar humidity, the fishing has been different for customer Jacques, who recently returned from a trip to
Darwin, and he managed to have a fish while up there. Jacques fished with a local operator in search of Mangrove Jack, Fingermark and even a possible
barramundi. Fishing run off mud flats and snake drains Jacques scored some nice school sized barra, with mullet imitation soft plastics the most effective.
Tail style can make a big difference in success, with this particular day the huddle or boot tail working the best.
Across in the South Pacific, customer Aaron has been catching some more interesting fish. Aaron has been on honeymoon, and like any desperate angler he
has managed to get out and sample some of the local species. Although with limited fishing gear, and dodging the average weather Aaron has managed
a few atoll species with the highlight being a nice sailfish caught on a surface popper.
