Milenko fished the Latrobe and Loch rivers recently, and says that there are good numbers of small Brown Trout to be caught at the minute with the water still staying relatively cold. Most of his fish are taking gulp crickets, and his best fish has been 41cm and came on a white ‘00’ Sebile Spin Shad
Mcalister River:
Good customer Suad reported catching his share of Trout on mepps and blue fox spinners with black/yellow dot blades around Licola. His mates without lures this colour didn’t fare so well.
Lake Dartmouth:
Customer Steven reported taking trout up to 3lb with most fish coming on mudeyes fishing under a ‘aaa’ 6g float along the clay banks. Some of his mates took brown trout trolling squidgy critters behind Ford Fenders and cowbells.
